The Technical Commission is responsible for the worldwide implementation and promotion of mountain guide training, professional development and quality assurance in IFMGA member countries, as well as assessments, observation and support for interested and applicant countries. The commission is composed of at least 3 members of the IFMGA board. The current president is Hervé Qualizza.
