This year, from the 28 to the 30th April, the 48th "International Mountain Guides Ski Championship" will take place at the foot of the world-famous Eiger North Face in Grindelwald.
This year, Switzerland will take over the organisation of the traditional mountain guide ski race.
The mountain guides associations of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are pleased to welcome mountain guides from all over the world to the glacier village. The giant slalom and the ascent race, which will take place on Saturday, 28 April 2023, at Salzegg (Eiger north face lift), will be framed by a festive programme with the marching-in of the nations on Friday and the banquet with ball on Saturday evening.

Surrounded by the world's most beautiful mountain panorama with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the focus is not only on sporting ambition but also on the exchange of opinions among mountain professionals and social contacts. One of the highlights will be the ride on the new 3S - V cable car from Grindelwald Grund to the Eiger glacier for the start of the giant slalom and the ascent race.
